Our new coats and hoods marked preorder will be arriving in September 2025, and we'll be shipping out at that time.

We're working on samples now, and should have a full demo coats and hoods ready this spring! We'll send out email updates throughout the preorder.

Our v5 features:
*NEW* Hood/Helmet Magnetic Connection: We've embedded two magnets in the hood, and include two matching magnets with your order for you to attach to your helmet. This will keep the hood up and in place while you rip on the mountain.
*NEW* Includes Collar Extender for Adjustable Fit: All standalone hoods now come with a collar extender to improve the fit of the hoods over even the largest helmets, or to simply provide more wiggle room.

Universal Attachment: Can be connected to any of our v3 and v4 coats.
Weatherproof: Designed for the mountain, performs exceptionally well in snow and cold weather. The faux fur repels snow, blocks ALL wind, and has a temperature rating to rival a real bear. Tested on the coldest days in the Colorado Rockies (and throughout brutal Minnesota winters) and we've yet to be chilly.
Front Closure: Strong velcro closure to keep your hood in place even when ripping down the mountain.
All hoods are unisex and one-size-fits-all. They have a hidden pull cord to adjust the snugness, and fit over helmets, hats, or bear heads.
Our hoods are built to last and have no issues with repeated exposure to snow, ice, and all that comes with 100+ ski days.
If wet, simply hang to dry as you would any other winter gear.
Hand-wash + hang-dry only. Washing machines are too rough on the accessories and the dryer will damage the faux leather and could melt the fur.

Too loose
THis is a great, high quality product. It fits over my helmet and also works as a stand-alone hat. Get yours and be the "Bear on the Chair" like me!
Warm, stylish, and unique.
My black bearclava gets looks, appraisal from myself and onlookers alike, I tested it in -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 40 degrees, I'm as snug and as warm as a bear. Shipping was fast. The material is nice, hardy, and can take the abuse of the slopes, treks, and packing trips. Any outdoorsman looking for uniqueness and warmth needs to take a look at wildcoat coats and cowls. Shake off the hibernation and join the wildcoat bear nation.
