PRODUCT INFO & DESIGN
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN v6 & v5 coats? Plus

Every season we improve the style & functionality of our coats. Our latest coats dropping in 2026 will have the following new v6 updates over the v5:

  • Upgraded teeth on all styles.
  • New Sleeve Pass Pocket, now located on left forearm.
  • Swapped our branded arm patch for a subtle chest emblem.
  • Improved hood attachment, collar attachments upgraded to magnets over velcro.

All of our adult coats include detachable hoods, sleeves, and mittens.

See the full feature breakdown here.

What are the sizes? How do they run? Plus

All Wildcoats are unisex with sizes ranging from 2XS to 3XL for adults.

Our Kids' coats come in Youth Small, Medium, and Large. On average, Y-Small fits 4-6 year olds, Y-Medium fits 7-9 y/o, and Y-Large fits 10-12 y/o.

Our coats are designed to be on the roomy side to allow for layers on the mountain on those bitter cold days.

Check our Size Guide to determine your perfect fit.

Do you offer bulk/family discounts? Plus

Fur sure, Wildcoats are more fun with friends. Shoot an email to teddy@wildcoat.com (or live chat us via the bottom chat widget) and we'll accommodate orders of any size.

Are Wildcoats real winter coats? Plus

Do bears sh*t in the woods? Short answer – heck yea Wildcoats are real winter coats.

Weatherproof and designed to shred the mountains (plus maximum snack-storing-ability across ten pockets) — these bear coats are made to be your go-to winter coat.

Not to mention these babies are warm. Like really, really, ridiculously warm.

Is it real fur? What are they made of? Plus

We do not use real fur. We love animals and use 100% synthetic materials in all of our coats and hoods.

Are Wildcoats warm? Plus

We are not exaggerating when we say each Wildcoat has the temperature rating of an actual bear.

Thoroughly tested throughout the coldest winter days in the Rockies, across the midwest into the northeast and Canada (-20 with bonus windchill) — we still couldn't feel a thing.

If you tend to run hot (especially while skiing) you will not need many layers. We recommend simply wearing a long-sleeve tee underneath.

For warmer days, you can vent the sleeves or fully detach them. You just got yourself a bonus winter vest.

Will they hold up to skiing and snowboarding? Plus

We are ski bums at heart, so we prioritized FUNCTION while creating Wildcoat. All of our coats and hoods are designed to be your go-to, every day gear on the mountain.

We've worn our original samples from 2021 across hundreds of ski days, sporting events, and everything in between and they still look brand new.

The hood stays up even when you’re ripping down a groomer, and the active fit combined with the 2-way zip allows for free flowin’ movement on any terrain. Not to mention our v3 and v4 coats have zip-off-everything — bring on the Spring ski!

Will the hood fit over a helmet? Plus

Yes! Designed to be worn with a brain-bucket on the slopes or sans-helmet out on the town. If you purchase a hood by itself, we include a collar extender to really open things up.

Our adjustable hood cord allows for full adjustability & comfort no matter the occasion — all discreetly hidden within low profile fur pockets.

We've also embedded hidden magnets in the hood to keep it snuggly affixed to your helmet.

And you can full detach the hood if you're feelin' a hoodless or "just the head" kinda day.

Are they just for winter sports? Plus

Wildcoats were built for ripping around the mountains, which means they're also perfect for the coldest tailgates and winter festivals.

Turns out all the bad*ss features that make Wildcoat a killer ski coat also make for the ultimate tailgate coat.

SHIPPING, RETURNS, & EXCHANGES
When are you restocking sold out coats and hoods? Plus

We'll be dropping our v6 restock & new styles mid-May ahead of the Winter 2026 season. Pre-orders for these coats and hoods will ship in September.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP? AND WHAT IS THE COST? Plus

We're based in Colorado and ship all over the world! If your country is not currently listed, shoot an email to teddy@wildcoat.com and we'll look into the rates to get you a coat.

All shipping within the USA is free.

Shipping to Canada is also free, however taxes and duties are applied. These will be charged at checkout. If duties are not collected at checkout for whatever reason, UPS will charge them prior to delivery.

If possible, shipping to a US location and picking up mitigates the taxes/fees. You can also self-declare with UPS to reduce the customers brokerage portion of the import costs. This online calculator is available to help estimate the additional taxes and fees charged by Canadian Customs and UPS.

International shipping costs will be calculated at checkout after entering your shipping address. Local taxes and import costs may be charged upon delivery by the carrier.

WARRANTY & CARE
How do I clean and maintain my Wildcoat? Does the fur get wet on the slopes? Plus

Our coats are built to last and have no issues with repeated exposure to snow, ice, and all that comes with 100+ ski days.

If wet, simply hang to dry as you would any other winter gear.

Hand-wash + hang-dry only. Washing machines are too rough on the accessories and the dryer will damage the faux leather and could melt the fur. The inner liner can be thoroughly cleaned with gentle soap and water, and can be used to spot cleaning the fur.

What's the warranty on my Wildcoat? Plus

These aren’t your average bear costumes!

Our coats and hoods are designed to be used on the mountain, and are built with quality materials to withstand the regular demands of multiple winter seasons. With that in mind, we’re happy to assist with any extraneous craftsmanship or material failures. Please contact us if you think something is defective with your coat.

Please email Teddy@wildcoat.com with a lil description + pics of your coat should your Wildcoat have any issues.
