Shipping, Exchanges & Returns
The bottom line is: we want you to be 100% ecstatic with your Wildcoat.
If the fit isn't perfect, or you aren't totally satisfied - we're here to help.
Start an exchange or return:
We offer free shipping on all exchanges, or a return for store credit.
If returning for a refund, the return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount (typically ~$15-20).
US Orders —
- We accept exchanges and returns within 15-days of delivery for all non-clearance coats and hoods bought through our shop (Wildcoat.com). All items must be returned in new-condition as they were received in the original packaging. All returns for refund will be refunded to the original payment method. Please allow up to 5 business days to process all returns.
International Orders —
- We unfortunately are not able to accept exchanges or returns from international orders (outside of the US). It's too dang expensive, sorry! Please double check sizing and style with us prior to ordering to ensure your coat fits perfectly.
Clearance/Sale Items —
- All Clearance items (listed on our Clearance page) are final sale and cannot be returned. We do accept exchanges or returns for store credit on Clearance items pending available inventory. Clearance items will be marked as FINAL SALE on the product page in the description.
- If items are purchased under a 'Buy X, Get Y' promotion, returning part of the order will result in a refund proportional to the new discount amount of the remaining items.
Apparel —
- We do not accept returns or exchanges on our apparel (aka t-shirts, beanies, hats, and sweatshirts). We use a third party printing company for all of these goodies (Printful is their name!), so we are not able to swap sizing, style, or offer refunds on these items.
Duties / Taxes —
- For international orders, we ship DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid) unless otherwise specified and charged at checkout. You will be billed upon pickup by your local authorities/shipping company before delivery. Please reach out if you are unsure of the standard importing taxes/fees for your country and we will do our best to estimate these for you. We do not cover these fees.
All returns must be unworn aside from the initial try-on, in brand new condition, and returned as it was shipped in the original packaging with tag attached.
For any coat that is returned disassembled (aka hood, sleeves and/or mittens detached and shoved in the box) we will charge a $5 handling fee.
We reserve the right to reject any return believed to have been worn beyond the initial try on. In this case you will have the option to keep the item and must pay us to ship you the coat again, or forfeit your refund.
We reserve the right to reject any return if the coat smells of perfume, smoke, or any other strong odor when we inspect the returned item.
In the case where the coat is dirty or has a strong smell but is in otherwise new condition and can be cleaned, you may opt to keep the item or pay a $50 cleaning fee.
Basically, don't wear it if you don't plan on keeping it!
All Clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned. We do accept exchanges on Clearance items pending available inventory.

Please allow up to 1 business day for your coat or hood to ship out. We aim to ship out same day on all orders received before 4pm MT.
You'll receive email updates & tracking info as soon as your label is printed, packed, and on its way.
On average, 3-5 business days from the time the carrier picks up the package! We ship from our warehouse in Boulder, CO.
If you need your order by a certain date, let us know in your order comments or use an expedited service to ensure it arrives in time! We have 2nd Day and Next Day available at checkout.
We ship out of Colorado, so the shipping time varies based on how close you are to CO! Other factors like weather and holidays could result in delays.
We are not responsible for shipping delays once the package is out of our hands. We're all at the mercy of UPS, USPS, and Fedex.
For domestic orders we use UPS Ground, Fedex Ground/Home Delivery, or USPS Ground Select as our first options depending on which quotes a faster delivery. For multi-coat purchases we typically use UPS or Fedex.
Delivery time within the USA is typically 3-5 business days depending on your proximity to Colorado. If you need your goodies by a specific date, please let us know so we can choose a specific shipping service or recommend expedited.
If certain carriers do not ship to your address, please let us know in advance.

For international orders we use UPS or USPS depending on the ship-to country. Typically the shipping time is 3-5 business days, but clearing customs can take an additional few days. Please double check your email address and phone number upon checkout to ensure smooth sailing through customs.
If your tracking shows that the delivery has been made but the package is missing, double check your shipping address and immediately check with neighbors, your mail room, or anyone who may have accidentally received your package. Often times it has been mis-delivered nearby.
If your package was definitely stolen, you must file a police report within 48 hours and contact us immediately.
All missing packages must be reported to us within 7 days of the marked delivery date so we can help track down your order and issue a replacement if possible.
Shipping costs/fees are as follows:
Continental USA: Free shipping on all coats & hoods on orders over $200. Orders under $200 cost $5 to ship.
AK / HI / US Territories: Automatically calculated shipping at checkout based on carrier rates.
International / Outside USA: The shipping cost for all international orders will be calculated at checkout. All international orders are shipped Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) unless otherwise specified and collected at checkout — this means you will be responsible for paying local taxes/fees to the carrier upon delivery.
If possible, shipping to a US location and picking up mitigates the taxes/fees.

USA Orders:
Short answer is it varies by state and will be shown at checkout after you enter your address!
Since we are based in Colorado, we must collect local sales tax on all orders shipped within Colorado.
We also collect taxes in certain larger states (aka the ones where we ship the most coats).
All orders placed through Facebook/Instagram/Meta Shop have sales tax applied.
International Orders:
We collect duties/taxes at checkout for certain countries, but if no they will be collected by the carrier upon delivery. Local taxes (GST/HST/VAT, etc) will be collected by UPS/the carrier, as well as any customs clearance costs. Please be prepared for these charges so they are not a surprise upon delivery!
Our preorder for 2026 begins in mid-May and the coats/hoods will be shipping out in September.
Preordering ensures you'll be first in line to receive your item as soon as our inventory arrives, as we typically sell out of our most popular coats each year!
Think of us like that really good mom & pop pizza place that can only make so many pies each day, and once they sell out you gotta come back the next day.
